AwayFind works with any email application. Here are instructions for enabling and disabling an auto response message with many popular email providers.
Here is a list of cell phone providers for both the Basic and Professional versions of AwayFind. Our Basic plan includes all US cell phone providers and many others. Our Profesionnal plan supports the majority of providers in the world (UK, Europe, South America, Australia, Asia, etc.)
Please note that the AwayFind contact forms do not support Unicode, but the rest of the AwayFind product does. We plan to provide full Unicode support (including SMS).
AwayFind does not actually filter email—it allows people to step away from email for extended periods of time. Those who send email to AwayFind users will receive an auto response message alerting them of the user’s availability, and suggesting that they click their AwayFind contact page if their need is urgent. Thus those who write to AwayFind users choose the urgency of their emails; in our research, fewer than 1% of emails turn into AwayFind notifications.
AwayFind relies on your mail server to send an auto response message. Each mail server has different rules for how often an auto response message is sent per recipient. For instance, Gmail sends a response to each recipient no more than once every four days. Microsoft Exchange is similar. This is designed to alleviate the risk of auto response messages responding to each other over-and-over. Recognizing this, we’ve placed the following text in all of our auto response message templates: “consider bookmarking this link as you may not receive this notification again.”
